This Sunday, April 22, is Earth Day. It’s a day where citizens everywhere rededicate themselves to improving our environment for future generations. It’s a day meant to inspire and educate, so that we can take the appropriate actions to protect our home for the rest of the year as well.

RampNow supports Earth Day, and everything it stands for. We believe it’s critical to make the necessary decisions that help the environment. We recognize the importance in being a small voice for change in an increasingly large movement.

Below are a few of the small ways that RampNow currently helps the environment.

The Most Durable Materials – When you rent or buy a ramp from us, you are getting a durable product with a long lifespan. Our ramps are made with aluminum, and when they are taken care of properly, they can last for many years.

This means that they are infrequently thrown away – keeping them out of landfills. Wood is sometimes used as an alternative material for outdoor wheelchair ramps. The problem with this is it depletes a natural resource, and it often won’t last as long as aluminum. This makes a wheelchair ramp from RampNow a great choice for the environment.

Recyclables – At RampNow we separate our recyclables and trash. We do this to shrink our contribution to the local landfills.

Vehicles – RampNow installs ramps and wheelchair lifts across a wide swath of Northern Illinois. That means that we frequently have sales and installation teams out driving. This is why the vehicle we use for that is a hybrid. This allows us to improve our fuel economy and lessen the pollution.

A wheelchair ramp from RampNow is an environmentally-responsible choice. These are a few of the ways RampNow makes our small contribution to helping the environment. We are always inspired to hear others’ Earth Day stories as well. Happy Earth Day!
